Unfortunately, it is not the easiest part of Eurocode to understand. <em>Fortunately<\/em>, Diamonds has a generator with which you can easily determine the wind loads on truss-shaped buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let me show you how it works: assume we want to build this hall in Bra\u015fov at an altitude of 800m. We focus on the wind loads on the orange frame in the middle of the structure. Organize them in sub load cases (read <a href=\"https:\/\/support.buildsoft.eu\/knowledge-base\/how-to-define-several-sub-cases-per-group\/\">here how to define sub load cases<\/a>). The higher the structure stands, the more wind loads it will have to bear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Diamonds you can set the ground level by clicking on the button <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"91\" height=\"19\" class=\"wp-image-4309\" style=\"width: 91px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buildsoft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/KnopMaaiveld.png\" alt=\"\">. Because all these distances will affect the magnitude of the wind loads.\u00a0<br>The image on the right bottom shows a top view of hall.
