Con un espacio de cimentaci\u00f3n muy limitado por la estaci\u00f3n situada debajo, el auditorio y el pabell\u00f3n deportivo se construyeron como una gran estructura de acero en voladizo de unos 9 metros desde un n\u00facleo de hormig\u00f3n cimentado sobre pilotes, con tirantes y vigas de celos\u00eda para el apoyo y la rigidez, utilizando Diamonds para las comprobaciones normativas y para verificar que las frecuencias propias de la estructura no interferir\u00edan con el uso normal del pabell\u00f3n deportivo.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">El proyecto<\/h2>\n\n<p>Desde la construcci\u00f3n de la estaci\u00f3n de metro Albert en la d\u00e9cada de 1980, la plaza Albert en Forest (Bruselas) se hab\u00eda convertido en un gran espacio abierto dentro del paisaje urbano. Para revitalizar esta parte de la ciudad y convertirla en una zona vibrante para sus residentes, el ayuntamiento de Forest organiz\u00f3 un concurso de dise\u00f1o arquitect\u00f3nico. El dise\u00f1o de B-architecten para dos edificios con diversas instalaciones, como un restaurante, un auditorio y un pabell\u00f3n deportivo a ambos lados de la plaza Albert, result\u00f3 ganador.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Opciones de cimentaci\u00f3n extremadamente limitadas junto a una estaci\u00f3n de metro<\/h2>\n\n<p>Debido a la presencia de la estaci\u00f3n de metro Albert, las posibilidades de cimentaci\u00f3n eran bastante limitadas en este caso. Para el edificio situado a un lado de la plaza Albert, se ciment\u00f3 sobre pilotes un n\u00facleo de hormig\u00f3n situado fuera del per\u00edmetro de la estaci\u00f3n.
