Dans le cadre d&rsquo;un projet de restauration, Provoost Engineering a utilis\u00e9 Diamonds pour confirmer que le chevalet pouvait rester stable sans son faux carr\u00e9 d&rsquo;origine, pour orienter la planification des travaux de restauration autour de l&rsquo;\u00e9chafaudage temporaire et des charges de vent, et pour v\u00e9rifier si l&rsquo;une de ses bigues pouvait supporter un mur d&rsquo;escalade ext\u00e9rieur de 400 m\u00b2.<br\/><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Notre mission s&rsquo;articule autour de deux questions<\/h2>\n\n<p>Deux chevalements sont pr\u00e9sents sur le site be-MINE. Un tel chevalet est la structure construite au-dessus d&rsquo;un puits de mine et \u00e9tait utilis\u00e9 pour transporter les mineurs, le mat\u00e9riel et le charbon. Il se compose g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement de deux \u00e9l\u00e9ments: la structure de support et le faux carr\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n<p>La structure de support du chevalet I \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de l&rsquo;ancienne centrale \u00e9lectrique est un portique autoportant avec deux paires de pieds inclin\u00e9s (les bigues) et une cabine dessus. Les bigues supportent non seulement les molettes (grandes poulies) install\u00e9es dans la cabine, mais ils sont \u00e9galement responsables pour l&rsquo;absorption de la composante horizontale de la force de traction dans les c\u00e2bles.<\/p>\n\n<p>Avant le d\u00e9but des travaux de restauration, le faux carr\u00e9 se trouvait entre les bigues, un cadre en acier qui prolongeait le puits de mine au-dessus du sol, pour ainsi dire, et qui permettait de guider la cabine d&rsquo;ascenseur, les m\u00e9canismes de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 n\u00e9cessaires et les \u00e9tapes d&rsquo;entretien. Peut-il \u00eatre enlev\u00e9 sans compromettre la stabilit\u00e9 ? Et quelle est la situation exacte pendant la mise en \u0153uvre des travaux de restauration ?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dans ces conditions, est-il \u00e9galement possible d&rsquo;installer un mur d&rsquo;escalade ext\u00e9rieur sur l&rsquo;un des bigues, dans le prolongement de la salle d&rsquo;escalade existante de la centrale \u00e9lectrique voisine ?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Le chevalet restera-t-il debout apr\u00e8s la d\u00e9molition du faux carr\u00e9 ?<\/h2>\n\n<p>Afin d&rsquo;\u00e9valuer si la structure de support du chevalet I resterait intacte apr\u00e8s la d\u00e9molition du faux carr\u00e9, nous avons construit un mod\u00e8le de calcul en 3D \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide du logiciel de calcul Diamonds. Outre les charges permanentes (y compris le poids des molettes et le plancher en acier de la cabine), la charge du vent sur cette structure autoportante joue un r\u00f4le particuli\u00e8rement important. Les forces importantes que les bigues devaient supporter lorsque le puits de mine \u00e9tait encore en exploitation n&rsquo;existent manifestement plus. Il convient de noter que presque tous les profils du mod\u00e8le de calcul ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9finis comme des profils UPN composites (pour les poteaux principaux et pour les poutres primaires et les diagonales) ou des aciers angulaires composites (pour les poutres secondaires et les diagonales).<\/p>\n\n<p>Les calculs ont montr\u00e9 que le chevalement sans faux carr\u00e9 r\u00e9pondait effectivement \u00e0 toutes les normes de contr\u00f4le requises. La d\u00e9formation maximale au sommet de la structure porteuse (\u00e0 une hauteur de 56 m\u00e8tres au-dessus du sol) reste certainement dans les limites des valeurs admissibles impos\u00e9es par la norme. Mais ce qui rend le mod\u00e8le de calcul vraiment int\u00e9ressant, c&rsquo;est la visualisation des d\u00e9formations. Celle-ci montre en effet que la d\u00e9formation horizontale est principalement concentr\u00e9e dans la partie sup\u00e9rieure relativement lisse du chevalet. Au cours de cette restauration, un \u00e9chafaudage a \u00e9t\u00e9 construit autour de la structure de support, qui \u00e0 son tour s&rsquo;est appuy\u00e9e sur le chevalet. Localement, l&rsquo;\u00e9chafaudage a \u00e9t\u00e9 temporairement recouvert d&rsquo;une b\u00e2che aux endroits o\u00f9 les travaux de restauration ont eu lieu. La charge de vent associ\u00e9e devait \u00e9videmment \u00eatre absorb\u00e9e en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9 par le chevalet.<br\/><\/p>\n\n<p>Pour valider cela, nous avons effectu\u00e9 une s\u00e9rie de calculs avec Diamonds en concertation avec l&rsquo;entrepreneur des travaux de restauration. Le but de ces calculs \u00e9tait d&rsquo;estimer les effets de la charge de vent en fonction du d\u00e9roulement pr\u00e9vu des travaux de restauration. Toutefois, compte tenu des r\u00e9sultats des calculs pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents pour le chevalet autoportant, on pouvait s&rsquo;attendre \u00e0 ce que cela n&rsquo;ait pas d&rsquo;impact substantiel sur la stabilit\u00e9 de la structure de support.<br\/><br\/><\/p>\n\n<p>Les calculs effectu\u00e9s \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide du mod\u00e8le de calcul 3D Diamonds l&rsquo;ont pleinement confirm\u00e9. La convivialit\u00e9 de Diamonds est pour nous un compl\u00e9ment naturel \u00e0 notre propre approche pratique. Enfin, nous utilisons le logiciel de calcul de BuildSoft depuis pr\u00e8s d&rsquo;un quart de si\u00e8cle. Cela ne dit-il pas
