Les charges horizontales d&rsquo;amarrage des cavaliers contre les passerelles, ainsi que le risque de tassement diff\u00e9rentiel d\u00fb \u00e0 une couche de sable de 8 m\u00e8tres d\u00e9pos\u00e9e sur le polder existant, ont tous deux d\u00fb \u00eatre pris en compte explicitement dans la conception \u2014 ce dernier point r\u00e9solu par une fondation sur pieux supportant \u00e0 la fois la structure en acier et le sol de l&rsquo;atelier.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Le projet<\/h2>\n\n<p>Le portefeuille de Provoost.engineering comprend de nombreux projets de construction industrielle uniques et novateurs. Le nouveau terminal europ\u00e9en MSC PSA (MPET) du quai Deurganck, dans le port d&rsquo;Anvers, en est un excellent exemple.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Un atelier de maintenance pour 200 cavaliers portuaires<\/h2>\n\n<p>Ce terminal comprend un atelier de maintenance et de r\u00e9paration pour cavaliers portuaires. Un cavalier portuaire est un v\u00e9hicule de transport de marchandises qui transporte sa charge en l&rsquo;enjambant. Ces chariots empilent et d\u00e9placent les conteneurs d\u00e9charg\u00e9s d&rsquo;un navire amarr\u00e9 au quai, puis les stockent dans le terminal ou les transf\u00e8rent sur un camion. Le terminal du quai Deurganck \u00e9tant en pleine expansion, l&rsquo;infrastructure existante ne permettait plus d&rsquo;assurer la maintenance et la r\u00e9paration r\u00e9guli\u00e8res des 200 cavaliers portuaires utilis\u00e9s quotidiennement.<\/p>\n\n<p>L&rsquo;atelier de maintenance et de r\u00e9paration, con\u00e7u par Architectenassociatie Angst &amp; D&rsquo;hoore, se compose de deux volumes massifs reli\u00e9s par un espace central plus petit. La taille imposante des b\u00e2timents le justifie \u00e0 elle seule : chacun mesure 25 m\u00e8tres de haut. Les portes d&rsquo;acc\u00e8s aux cavaliers atteignent 18 m\u00e8tres de hauteur. De plus, tous les cavaliers doivent rester facilement accessibles lors des op\u00e9rations de levage de conteneurs pour la maintenance ou la r\u00e9paration, et ce, \u00e0 diff\u00e9rents niveaux.<\/p>\n\n<p>Il en r\u00e9sulte une structure m\u00e9tallique impressionnante sur laquelle sont install\u00e9es des passerelles \u00e0 diff\u00e9rentes hauteurs. Bien qu&rsquo;il aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 possible d&rsquo;int\u00e9grer l&rsquo;ensemble dans un seul mod\u00e8le d&rsquo;analyse 3D Diamonds, nous avons opt\u00e9 pour une approche par \u00e9tapes, adapt\u00e9e aux d\u00e9fis sp\u00e9cifiques pos\u00e9s par chaque aspect de la conception. C\u2019est pourquoi nous avons opt\u00e9 pour une mod\u00e9lisation 3D de la structure porteuse en acier, combin\u00e9e \u00e0 une s\u00e9rie de mod\u00e9lisations des diff\u00e9rentes passerelles de l\u2019atelier de maintenance et de r\u00e9paration.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Charges d&rsquo;amarrage et fondations sur pieux<\/h2>\n\n<p>Nous avons d\u00fb porter une attention particuli\u00e8re aux charges horizontales induites par les cavaliers lors de leur amarrage aux passerelles. Un risque de collision \u00e9tant in\u00e9vitable lors de ces man\u0153uvres, il est essentiel de prendre en compte ces charges horizontales dans l\u2019analyse de conception structurelle. De plus, un \u00e9l\u00e9ment tampon a d\u00fb \u00eatre int\u00e9gr\u00e9 \u00e0 la conception des passerelles afin d\u2019absorber et de r\u00e9partir efficacement ces charges d\u2019amarrage.<\/p>\n\n<p>Les fondations des ateliers de maintenance et de r\u00e9paration ont pos\u00e9 des d\u00e9fis suppl\u00e9mentaires. En effet, chaque b\u00e2timent repose sur une couche de sable de 8 m\u00e8tres d\u2019\u00e9paisseur d\u00e9pos\u00e9e sur le polder existant. Le poids de cette couche de sable entra\u00eene des tassements importants du sous-sol du polder.
