Cette approche a limit\u00e9 les renforts en acier pr\u00e9vus \u00e0 un maximum de 2 \u00e0 3 broches en acier par ferme, permettant de supprimer la plupart des plaques en acier initialement pr\u00e9vues et de conserver la structure en bois visible comme pr\u00e9vu.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Regarder \u00e0 travers le prisme du pass\u00e9<\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Une expertise dans la r\u00e9novation des charpentes en bois<\/h3>\n\n<p>\u00ab Le portefeuille de projets d&rsquo;AB Associates ne comprend pas seulement de nombreux projets de construction neuve \u00bb, explique Phil Melard, \u00ab mais aussi un nombre croissant de projets de r\u00e9novation passionnants. Les projets de r\u00e9novation sont souvent assez complexes, car il faut proposer une solution dans les limites du contexte existant. Ayant particip\u00e9 \u00e0 de nombreux projets de r\u00e9novation exigeants au fil des ans, nous avons d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 une expertise approfondie en mati\u00e8re de r\u00e9novation de charpentes en bois.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u00c0 mon avis, il est essentiel de consid\u00e9rer la structure porteuse \u00e0 travers le regard du concepteur d&rsquo;origine lorsqu&rsquo;on travaille sur la r\u00e9novation de charpentes en bois. Tr\u00e8s souvent, l&rsquo;erreur consiste \u00e0 concevoir les chevrons en bois pour la flexion. Le probl\u00e8me est que ces \u00e9l\u00e9ments n&rsquo;ont jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7us pour fonctionner ainsi. Si l&rsquo;on veut r\u00e9ussir une r\u00e9novation robuste sans co\u00fbts excessifs, il faut le faire en partant du principe que la charpente doit porter et transf\u00e9rer les charges conform\u00e9ment aux principes de la conception structurelle d&rsquo;origine.<\/p>\n\n<p>Les fermes en bois ont bien une r\u00e9sistance limit\u00e9e \u00e0 la flexion, mais cette r\u00e9sistance ne suffit qu&rsquo;\u00e0 porter leur propre poids. Le point de d\u00e9part de toute r\u00e9novation r\u00e9ussie devrait \u00eatre de concevoir tous les \u00e9l\u00e9ments structurels soit en compression, soit en traction, et de planifier toute mise \u00e0 niveau de la charpente selon ce principe directeur. Ce n&rsquo;est pas toujours facile. Tr\u00e8s souvent, des modifications interm\u00e9diaires ont \u00e9t\u00e9 apport\u00e9es qui ne respectent pas la conception d&rsquo;origine. Ces modifications doivent \u00eatre corrig\u00e9es l\u00e0 o\u00f9 c&rsquo;est n\u00e9cessaire. Mais avec la bonne approche, de nombreuses vieilles fermes de toiture r\u00e9pondent \u00e9tonnamment bien aux exigences des projets de r\u00e9novation. Le plan initial pr\u00e9voyait de renforcer la ferme en bois \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide de connexions par plaques en acier. Sachant que la visibilit\u00e9 de la charpente en bois devait \u00eatre son principal atout architectural, les renforts par plaques en acier ne constituaient pas une solution id\u00e9ale. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des analyses 2D utilisant Diamonds, nous avons pu r\u00e9duire les renforts structurels \u00e0 un maximum de 2 \u00e0 3 broches en acier par ferme, et de nombreuses connexions par plaques en acier initialement pr\u00e9vues ont pu \u00eatre tout simplement supprim\u00e9es. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Traduire des id\u00e9es en conceptions structurelles solides<\/h3>\n\n<p>\u00ab Lire les plans architecturaux \u00e0 travers le prisme du pass\u00e9 et les interpr\u00e9ter d&rsquo;une mani\u00e8re coh\u00e9rente avec la conception d&rsquo;origine rev\u00eat une grande importance pour des r\u00e9novations r\u00e9ussies et \u00e9conomiques \u00bb, conclut Phil Melard. \u00ab Il faut faire fonctionner correctement la structure porteuse, et construire des mod\u00e8les d&rsquo;analyse structurelle \u00e0 cette fin.
