BIM\u2026 je hebt de term ongetwijfeld al eens horen vallen binnen de bouwsector. Maar wat betekent het nu echt? En is het iets waar alleen grote studiebureaus mee aan de slag kunnen?<\/p>\n\n

Veel kleine bureaus denken nog dat BIM complex, duur of gewoon \u201cniet voor hen\u201d is. Toch is niets minder waar. BIM kan net helpen om effici\u00ebnter te werken, fouten te vermijden en sterker samen te werken met andere partijen.<\/p>\n\n

In deze blog leggen we op een eenvoudige manier uit wat BIM precies is, en waarom het ook voor kleinere bureaus een slimme stap kan zijn.<\/p>\n\n

1. Wat is BIM?<\/h2>\n\n

BIM staat voor Building Information Modeling<\/em>. In plaats van klassieke 2D-tekeningen werk je met een digitaal 3D-model waarin niet alleen de vorm, maar ook alle informatie van een gebouw zit. Denk aan materialen, afmetingen, verbindingen en zelfs prestaties.<\/p>\n\n

Het grote verschil? Dat model \u201cweet\u201d wat het bevat. Een balk is niet zomaar een lijn, maar een object met eigenschappen. Daardoor kan je veel slimmer werken en sneller inzichten krijgen.<\/p>\n\n

2. Wat betekent BIM concreet in de praktijk?<\/h2>\n\n

In de praktijk betekent BIM vooral: beter samenwerken. Architecten, ingenieurs en aannemers werken in, of op basis van, hetzelfde model, waardoor iedereen met dezelfde informatie aan de slag gaat. Dat vermindert misverstanden en communicatieproblemen aanzienlijk.<\/p>\n\n

Wanneer er iets verandert in het model, wordt dat automatisch zichtbaar voor alle betrokken partijen. Geen verouderde plannen meer of tegenstrijdige versies. Alles blijft synchroon en overzichtelijk.<\/p>\n\n

3. Waarom BIM juist interessant is voor kleine bureaus.<\/h2>\n\n

Veel kleine bureaus denken dat BIM overkill is voor hun werking. Maar in werkelijkheid kan het net het tegenovergestelde betekenen. Door effici\u00ebnter te werken, bespaar je tijd, en tijd is vaak je grootste kost.<\/p>\n\n

BIM helpt ook om fouten vroeg in het proces op te sporen. Minder fouten betekent minder herwerken, minder stress en lagere kosten. Dat maakt een groot verschil, zeker bij kleinere teams.<\/p>\n\n

Daarnaast straal je meer professionaliteit uit naar klanten en partners. Werken met BIM toont dat je mee bent met de sector en kwalitatief werk levert. <\/p>\n\n

4. Hoe begin je met BIM als klein bureau?<\/h2>\n\n

De eerste stap is eenvoudiger dan je denkt. Je hoeft niet meteen je volledige workflow om te gooien. Begin klein, bijvoorbeeld met \u00e9\u00e9n type project of een specifiek onderdeel van je ontwerp.<\/p>\n\n

Kies tools die aansluiten bij jouw noden en die gebruiksvriendelijk zijn. Software zoals PowerConnect<\/a>kan bijvoorbeeld helpen om specifieke berekeningen en ontwerpen sneller en duidelijker uit te werken binnen een BIM-context.<\/p>\n\n

Daarnaast loont het om te investeren in een korte opleiding of begeleiding. Zo ben je sneller mee en haal je meteen meer uit je eerste projecten. Het belangrijkste is: gewoon starten en gaandeweg optimaliseren.<\/p>\n\n

BIM is allang geen hype meer, maar een vaste waarde in de bouwsector. En het is zeker niet alleen weggelegd voor grote bureaus. Integendeel, ook kleine teams kunnen er enorme voordelen uit halen.<\/p>\n\n

Door slimmer te werken, beter samen te werken en fouten te beperken, maak je meteen een sterke stap vooruit. Het hoeft niet ingewikkeld te zijn, zolang je het stap voor stap aanpakt.<\/p>\n\n
